Hey! I’m so excited you’re here!
I’m a mom of three beautiful girls and the heart behind the camera at Crystal K Photography. I have a deep love for capturing moments in time — families, seniors, couples, growing bellies, and brand new babies. These are the memories that deserve to be held onto forever.
Originally from Nebraska, I’ve found my home in Indianola, Iowa. When I’m not behind the camera, you can usually find me spending time with my girls, curled up on the couch with a blanket and a good show (Friends will always be my favorite), enjoying a good hike and being outdoors, or cheering on my daughters on the softball fields.
My photography journey started when my second daughter was born. I found myself wanting to remember every tiny detail — every roll, chubby thigh, smile, and tiny toe. I wanted to be able to look at a photo and instantly be taken back to that moment in time. That same feeling is what I hope to give every family I photograph.
My goal during your session is to capture the love, laughter, chaos, and beauty that make your story unique. Sessions with me are relaxed, fun, and full of genuine moments.

To be able to capture your new baby is a honor! I take this to heart and we will work to make sure every detail is captured of your new little one. All the toes, wrinkles, chubby rolls, noses and eye lashes. I will take special care of your little one and make this a relaxing time for you and your family. I will never force the baby into any posses and safety is always my priority. I have many props, wraps, outfits and headbands to create your dream of your little one.

Motherhood
A session all about LOVE. This is one of my favorite sessions! These sessions are stress free as we will customize it to show your love for each other. My main concentration will be on capturing your story. Every love story is different and so is every couple. So I say we break the mold of your "normal" session together and make some memories!

Couples
My goal during your family session is to capture your family in all its crazy beauty that makes you a family. What should you expect, the exact opposite of any "normal" session you have probably had. I don't want children to be focused on their "normal" smile or to looking at the camera. That causes stress for everyone. We are going to play, laugh, cuddle and create moments to show your family. You will have access to my client closet filled with many girls and women dresses. Taking the stress out of what to wear!

Want to stay in the comfort of your own home after bringing home your baby? Let me come to you!! We will use your home and baby's nursery to capture the bringing home of your new little baby! I will bring wraps, headbands and a few props to make your session fit your family and vision of your newborn photos!
